Man Accused Of Selling Heroin In Putnam, Sheriff Says

A 30-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly sold heroin in Putnam, police say.

Members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) say they purchased a quantity of heroin from Jose Manzueta on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast on Wednesday, July 10.

Manzueta was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony. Fiol Villar, 27, was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

Manzueta was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Villar was released on her own recognizance.
